Favorite animated show Dragon Ball series for sure, but the Avatar series (ATLA and Korra) round out the top 3.
Favorite non-animated show Probably Game of Thrones, Modern Family is really great too. House gets an honorable mention.
Favorite movie Not much of a movie person, idk.
Favorite video game Probably Battlefield 4 since that’s all I play, but in terms of nostalgia there’s Tomba 1 and 2, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter among others.
Favorite food I don’t know, tacos? They’re good. Mini hotdogs are pretty good too. Oh, and sign me up for boneless buffalo wings any day.
Ralph started making Stick Nodes one day because he was bored. He grew up practically addicted to a stickfigure-animation program called Pivot which sparked his interest in both animation and game development.

Eventually he got into Flash animation and Flash game development. He released quite a few games into the Flash gaming community, check out his portfolio for links.

Once mobile devices started taking over, he moved over to attempt Android games. After a few failed attempts, he released Plunder Peril – a quick 2-3 week project that was meant as Android-development practice.

After Plunder Peril, Ralph began work on Stick Nodes and in August 2014, Stick Nodes was released on Android with the iOS version following in November. Stick Nodes is built in Java with the LibGDX framework and uses RoboVM to port to iOS.

Sean is the site administrator and creator of the stickfigure submission system as well as a majority of the DBZ stickfigures. He also has a funny accent.

At around age 12 he discovered Pivot, ended up on Droidz.org looking for stickfigures to use in his animations, got fairly good after about 2 years.

He decided to make a website to host his animations on after having been on the forums for a long time. That’s what got him into webdesign since the first iteration of his website was a terrible looking flash-based thing that at the time he thought was the best thing out.

After a while he realized how stupid it looked and behaved. So he looked into HTML and CSS, got it looking slightly better but it wasn’t until he found WordPress that it started looking decent.

After that he went off the grid for a bit, got his Cert IV in IT and Webdesign, cemented his understanding of the internet protocols.

Lately he’s been helping out around the Stick Nodes community and has been managing Animation Alpha. He’s also been looking into game development and has begun a project that he hopes to finish one day soon, he can’t really reveal anything about it but it’s for mobile devices and will be a 2D sidescroller.

  1. Days random things.

I realized how much Sega loved Sonic Heroes.
I turned on Sonic Generations to watch some artworks and there’s a load of Sonic Heroes artworks. In the Sonic Gem collection plus, there are 2 beta of Sonic Heroes intro. 2 betas. This is incredible. A normal game would only have 1 beta.
In Sonic colors, they used for the invincibility theme the Sonic Heroes jingle. In Sonic Generations, Seaside hill theme also includes Ocean palace theme, so they’re like 2 musics for one level. Also there’s a dialogue when you deliver Espio that is only french exclusive I think, and in this dialogue Espio says “I once got fooled by Eggman and his stupid ermits” which is a reference to Team Chaotix’s first mission where Eggman tells them to catch 10 ermits.
DAAAAAAAMN THOSE REFERENCES ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE. It’s like as if Sega wanted to bring Sonic Heroes back. I’m pretty sure Sonic Heroes 2 is going to happen soon, there are too many clues to hide it from me.

  2. Onehighjump’s Stories/Discovery: Neo Tribeam/ KIKOHO!
A move used by Tien is actually really underestimated. Kikoho! While researching one of my favorite characters move on Wikipedia it says “The attack does damage 100x greater than the user’s own power.” With this said somebody like Goku,Hit,Beerus or anybody else learn this it would be deadly! Just imagine 100X SSGSS Goku’s!

    So Tien teach Goku KIKOHO!
    Bye…Well…I forgot…

  3. If you add opacity to Stick Nodes I will say Ralph is better than Sean, but if Sean adds the opacity then Sean will be better.

  4. Days random things
There’s *for the first time* in my recommended videos a Sonic Heroes video.
It’s a video about 2 dudes playing 2p mode and trying to figure out how to play the game, while mashing every button.
Is Sonic Heroes that hard to get used to?

    • I know. I want to make an “Animals” section but then, you know, I have to go through thousands of submissions and manually re-categorize a bunch of them >_> Might do it soon, after I get the website slowness/downtime fixed.

  5. Days random thing.

I’m maybe going to be migrating the website to a new host today/tomorrow. If there’s downtime it means I broke something and everything is on fire. Sorry.

      • Well, not an “update”, I’m switching it to a new host because this one can’t handle the traffic anymore (downtime and slowness).

The website is actually already up and running on the new host, there’s just an issue with the email system that has to be worked out before I can point the domain over to it.

Maybe today, only way you should notice anything different is if the website is faster 🙂

      • Yeah they’re good people, even though I didn’t really ever know them before lol. They’re helping me out a lot but allowing me to move into their server though, just hoping it actually improves the website’s speed.
