They’re not mutants, they’ve merely adapted, they would’ve been similar in appearance before.
And sulphur towers are naturally occurring pillars of solidified Sulphur gas that forms yellow, horrifically toxic Sulphurous rocks, though these are dramatised from being a mere crack in the earth to a steep tower because fantasy.

It’s currently just a totem pole with some arms and a monstrous creature face on the top, but in case of danger, it turns into a beast and protects the town with its laser eyes or something. Just cause he isn’t a combatant, doesn’t mean he can’t be a hero. Frodo Baggins can’t fight hoards of Uruks for s**t but he was still entrusted with taking the Ring to Mordor.
Harvey is similar in the way that he can’t fight but he’s helpful in other ways, whether it’s through providing cultural information, translating, sneaking, cooking, etc…-

Oh, well yeah, the combat isn’t as ridiculously fast paced as Vamracks but it isn’t as slow as Ralph’s. It’s at a realistic pace. Every attack has a windup, characters are greatly affected by gravity and physics, etc.

I like this a lot, name’n all. I think it’d be pretty funny if they cut the scroll by accident, thinking it’s just a bit off cloth in the way only to find a massive castle sized behemoth raining down frigid blizzards from its maw and turning villages to ice as far as the eye can see!
