i was today years old when this pack finally made me understand the backstory of this “purple guy” and “children” and who/what they became in the FNAF lore

Well yes, but actually no. Nightmare isn’t the crying child. It’s complicated. Basically purple dude killed em and stuffed them into suits except the crying child, cause he already dead, he was purple guy’s son, and died before.
