Kelenken lived in the Langhian stage of the Miocene, approximately 15 million years ago. Fossils have been found in tuff layers of the Colloncuran Collón Curá Formation in the Cañadón Asfalto Basin of western Patagonia, Argentina. It was the largest species of phorusrhacid and, with a skull measuring 71.6 cm (28 in) long, had the largest head of any known bird. The tarsometatarsus of one fossil specimen is 43.7 cm (17.7 in) long.

The colors were inspired by Cenozoic Survival (Roblox)
