We keep mixing facts and opinions trying to make a single faces this is how it has to be done animation community when animation is multifaceted and for those immediately typing details and story are the most important part. Your proving my point. Animation with low quality figs but great story is still good. However story isn’t everything. Prime example: DOOM. We need to stop shoving detail commands and improve the story commands in people throats. Stop this detail craze from New animators as most grow in their own and if you must give advice please be specific. If we do this this community should improve

Animation, character design, and story are different skills. That’s why most professional games and movies have people for characters, animation and story. Because they are different things and (personally) character design is easier
Another addition that people only care about detail is that if EB had the characters from PL, but terrible story, It would still be looked up opon
Versus, lets say undetailed figures with good story would be frowned opon because it has bases
