just your city? Oh please. Houston and Austin were both named after some of the greatest leaders in American history. San Antonio and Goliad have rich histories in the Texas Revolution. Texas also just produces the most energy in general. New York isn’t even in the top 10.

Both the state of New York and the city were named after the Duke of York. They only got the name because England LOST a war. Fun fact: Texas means friendship.
