More work done on Lulu, spent most of my day yesterday working on the body. The skirt and ruff do move using smart stretch. So it’s nothing too advanced but still can be animated with.
I did have some issues making the body, for example making the skirt look right, which I still think looks a little off but I hope that’s just because there’s no legs yet. I also had to change the lines on her suit as they didn’t look right when done how I drew the render. Finally I had to oversize her clothing a bit to make it like the drawing as well. Without doing that the costume looked too small.
Next up are her arms which I think I can get done today. The only concern I see is I’m not sure how to make her upper arm/shoulder go above her ruff and still look right. I’m thinking I may just need to make the ruff fully animatable to make that work.

New character in the works. Originally I was going to start the base then realized it just be easier if I skip to the figure itself so the base will be next.
So with this character, the head and any secondary figures for it have been made. This is the most amount of secondary figures I’ve needed to make for a figure’s head as well, 4 in total. The hat caused some issues when I was making it but I eventually got it looking right. The color of everything may be temporary, I never decided on the colors so just played it safe making most of the figure black and white.
Her name is Miss Lulu Violeta. “Miss” being a name lots of older performers in circuses used, and “Lulu” being based on the clown Lulu Adams, one of the first woman clowns to preform in big British circuses. Violeta isn’t related to anything, just thought it sounded nice with the name.
She is the character I mentioned had a full render drawn, so I may release that once the figure is done. Pretty happy with the figure so far, hopefully she won’t take too long to make.

Python,
The main problem people have with you is you picking fights with people and coming off incredibly annoying. Just because you don’t think you are picking fights doesn’t mean you aren’t. Same with the annoying part, just because you don’t think you’re being that way, doesn’t mean other people don’t see it that way.
My recommendation to you is to not interact with people who asked for you to not talk with them, or respond hostilely to you. Just ignore it. There’s a reason people are talking this way to you, and I think you should be conscious of that.
I’d like to see you enjoy the site and have fun here. But what I don’t want to see is you going after other people. Now does that mean I want people going after you either, no.
This is just a friendly heads up, and hopefully you can take this to heart and actually work on betterment.

Abeer’s causal wear has been made, finished it yesterday. So now Abeer and Pneuma have both a normal attire, and a casual one. Riot has an early episode 1 attire, and a normal attire. Seeing how his personality is, don’t see the need for a casual attire with him, but if I think of anything I probably will make it. Abeer’s casual attire only took about 4 days.
Next up I think I’m finally starting the bases. I’ve been putting off making them but seeing as the story has been making a lot of progress and I have more characters (more on that in a second) I think it’s finally time I make that base. I plan to make a buff male (Riot) and lean female (Pneuma) base. Further down I’ll make a lean male as well. Buff female base would look like Abeer, which I don’t suspect I’ll need for a while so that’s for the future.
I also have 3 characters lined up for figures. 1 is fully rendered and ready to be made in SN, 1 is almost ready, and 1 I need to make the render of. I also have 1 character planned for the story but I’m still trying to think of a design. All 4 of these characters are brand new to the series.

Oh sorry forgot to give you the new names
Riot, Pneuma, and Abeer are the names. They’re all different from the last text overlay

@ralph My updated splash screen. Exported at 1920×1080, Anti-Aliasing V2, and with a Transparent background. It also fits within the allotted space.

Nice

I’ve mentioned before going back and forth between songs like burnout, the slumber, mumbling ghosts, etc as my number 1. This snippet very much feels like a song worthy of competing for that spot
Was actually listening to burnout during my workout tonight, but checked the site after a set and saw this. Was bobbing my head along to it, it’s defiantly something special, absolutely love it.
Ever since impermanence you’ve really reached another level. Especially your most recent work from the past 2 months, which has now caused me to expand my top 3 to a top 5 now just to keep up

I’d defiantly be down to make this happen. Worked on a couple more card games since this was last discussed so I should be of better help this time.
I think best course of action is a small sever like I previously said, we make the game and do some small beta tests of it

Finished that new animation I talked about in my last post. I did originally have more planned but I’m not actually sure how to transition this into that, so I feel it’s best to leave it here. I do find the current ending funny plus I would like to spend some time working on the fundamentals more and studying, so I think this is the right call.
Pretty happy with it as a whole, I think it’s my best animation ever. Still have a long ways to go before I am where I want to be at, but this is defiantly a step in the right direction. Would love to hear any advice, critiques, what you liked, etc.
(Note the quality is at 480p since anything higher was way too big of a file)

Awesome 🔥🔥🔥

That was epic, I loved the little comic style onomatopoeia
-
They’re built like JoJo characters! this is so cool
-
even though its short it’s really action packed
honestly missing some music to tie it all together, it’s got that awkward quietness to it which usually doesn’t accompany more advanced animations like this
love the split screen/3D-popping-out effect too lol
