Working on a new animation test, going pretty well. I’ve been doing a lot more studying (hours per day) with animation/film over the past week. My main focus has been transitions, but as a whole I think this new one is an upgrade from the last. Hopefully should be done within a week or so if all goes to plan.
This animation below however is unrelated to what I said above, just thought it was a funny idea

If it doesn’t get accepted after about 2 weeks it’s safe to assume it got denied.
I’d recommend checking the site just to ensure it wasn’t uploaded but not connected to your account. It happens if you used a different email.
Though if you can’t find it, it probably did get denied for quality, being stolen, repetitive, etc

Ah that makes sense. Though I defiantly agree he should have been clear. As you mentioned above a newcomer would have been turned off by what he was saying. Same could even go for a lukewarm Christian who this was for. I think there’s better ways to put what he was saying.
He defiantly has a good way of teaching. But I think with better wording his message could have had a better impact/be more accessible

I watched the video, I’m iffy on what the guy said to really recommend him to anyone. He didn’t directly say it, but to me it seemed that he was implying that works would be needed to go to Heaven. He also included denial of self and repentance as apart of going to Heaven as well.
Now I’m still new to studying the Bible, but from my understanding you only need to truly believe Jesus is Lord to go to Heaven. Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” is all that’s required. Now of course just saying it isn’t enough, as you have to truly believe. Which I think comes into being born again, as things like repentance, works, and denial of self come after. But from my understanding the 3 are not a requirement, but just come after truly believing in Jesus.
As a whole, I don’t think he’s fully wrong, as you should always truly be trying to bettering yourself and get closer to God. Though none of us can reach that perfection he’s talking about, as to why we need Jesus. I think he just went too extreme with what his point was. Though I could very well be wrong I haven’t studied the Bible enough.
(I do agree with the Mike Winger recommendation though. I’d also thrown in IP since I think he’s very good at actually proving the authenticity of the Bible, while Mike leans more towards what it means).

Worked on another early episode 1 attire for one of the corrupted characters. This time it’s Pneuma. I got help from Pneuma’s voice actor with the design, as to why the attire looks better then normal.
I do have plans to give Abeer a secondary attire, though I want to wait on that and see if episode 1 actually needs it. If it will require one then I’ll make it. I do plan to take a short break from figure making and go back to animation practice again. I have no other figures fully planned out yet so I just need some time to get my stuff in order.
I’m pretty happy with how this came out. If Pneuma’s powers didn’t lead her to become a pirate I’d be tempted to use this as the primary attire.
(She looks similar to Terry Bogard with this attire, realized that as I was wrapping this figure up earlier)

Another update.
I made Riot’s early episode 1 attire. I based it off of his earlier designs/versions. Originally, I didn’t think the old design would ever appear again. But the plot of episode 1 presented the possibility so I decided to take advantage of it. Some liberties were taken to make the design work in my newer style. But as a whole I’m happy it’s back.
It has a left and right view. This figure also required I design the forearm muscles and hand which could change before animation starts.
Next up is Pneuma’s street attire, which I plan to start very soon.

You’re somehow not the first person to give me that exact same reason as to why I shouldn’t rename him

2 posts in a row, this a special occasion.
Anyway, this isn’t an update post but rather a thank you post. I’m incredibly appreciative of all the compliments on the animation from yesterday. Did not expect it to get as much high praise as it did. I was originally iffy on even posting it to begin with, but I’m really happy I did.
While I still have a longs way to go with animation, this was a massive confidence booster. All the compliments on and off the site gave me a lot of inspiration for the next test I’m planning.
To everyone who liked the post, or left a comment on or off the site, thank you. I genuinely really appreciate it, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the help/advice I’ve gotten as a whole these past few years. This truly means a lot to me. Love you all
Next post should be back to the irregularly scheduled updates

I’ve been studying animation for the past 2-3 days. The animation below I made today over 5 hours and is me experimenting with some of the things I’ve learned. Some things I really like and want to continue using, like impact frames, while extra lines for details during zoom ins I’ll either rework or stop.
I think it’s my best animation so far, really like how I came out. Its taken a long time but I’m slowly grasping how to animate which is nice. If there’s any critiques or ideas on what I can improve I’d love to hear it.
