  • Front arm almost done, back arm is coming soon. I should hopefully be done with both by tomorrow.

    Next up I’m going back to the lumberjack as I’d prefer to save the leg remakes for another day.

    As this is a short post going to include a few memes to make up for the small update

  • Two new things

    1. New back arm for Riot, didn’t send it after it was made since it’s really not too different from the front arm. Just basic edits to distinguish the two

    2. New Abeer body made (right side). The old one bothered me for a bit so finally decided to fix it. Plus it was needed due to smart stretch issues like most of my older figures. Her arms are next and should be done within the next few days.

  • New arm has been made (right side is new), I’m pretty happy with it. I also updated the body to increase the back size. Excluding the bracelets the smart stretch is now nearly perfect. I’ll still need to do some small edits but it’s super small stuff. I’ll make the back arms soon then edit both to work perfectly with smart stretch.

    Once that’s done I may remake the legs, or at least fix what I have to smart stretch. It’s way better then the arms but still I’d like to fix it.

    Later on I’ll redo a lot of Abeer like I did Riot, and fix Pneuma’s smart stretch a little too. So I hope soon to have the trio done then go back to the Cyclopes.

    I was mainly joking with above since I thought we had already discussed it before.

    I think the issue purely was I packed too many nodes into figures which pushes smart stretch too much leading to stuff not staying without the outlines. Polyfill generally fixes that issue so I’m switching my older figures over to that. I can dm you what happens to my older figures with smart stretch in case we never discussed it.

  • New character incoming,

    Won’t say what he’ll be used for but I like the fella. He’s the first character to be using the new body mold (outside of Riot himself). Next up are the new arms since they don’t smart stretch right. ( @ralph make smart stretch better for bigger figures).

    In other news some test voice lines from Pneuma, Riot, and Old man have come in with some already having been animated. Though I’ll keep them private for now since I’d like to still have some surprises with the show. But I will say they’re exactly what I was hoping for, Pneuma in particular is pretty impressive.

          tho i wonder if connectors will help, connectors can connect child-to-parent and just +1,+2 the thickness a bit and boom – outline

  • Riot Body rework done, arms are next.

    I’ve been planning this for a while but I started work on a new character and needed to use Riot’s body as a base and figured it’s time to do remake it. It’s overall an upgrade from the old version and is a lot closer to my actual art style. It’ll defiantly take some getting used to with the new body, but I’m happy with it. Regardless it was needed as the old version had a weird under chest muscle that just wouldn’t look right on a front view.

    Now proportions look a little off like with the arms, but those will be getting remade too. And the front view should give him the bulky look back while still looking natural (compared to the side view). I’m not sure when I’ll actually start the arms, but it will be soon.

    CapCut and SN. With capcut I imported the template I found. The. I made the animation over a white background and added it in CapCut as well.

    Some people could greenscreen their animation in which would be much better, though my characters have too many tiny details and colors that it doesn’t work properly. Hope this helps.

  • Update with the series:

    1. Figures

    There’s ~37 side view figures left to make for episode 1. Front and back views are likely about 10 each. So I can say roughly ~60 figures are left to make for episode 1 overall. However, 30 of the side views will be generic background characters. So I’ll be reusing a whole lot of parts, cutting down the total to in reality be more like 4 plus the 7 other side views.

    2. The story

    Episode 1 is just about fully agreed upon with the writers. I still need to run it by one more writer then I’ll finish up the story beats and then we can get to work on the script. The first episode is pretty radically different from my original idea. Nearly everything is different outside of a couple characters being the same. Episode 2-4 have the beats and plans but may change. And 5-12 have general ideas but again may change.

    3. Conclusion

    So overall the show is really speeding up. I’m really close to starting to getting the ball rolling with the last side views, and the story being nearly fully agreed upon is pretty huge. My hope is for all side views to be done, and the script to have been started by the end of the summer, which seems realistic. It’s a little surreal to be this close to actually getting into full production. The only thing I still really need to get work done on is the voice acting which I’ll be starting this week, vfx and backgrounds. The latter two will be harder since I don’t know how to either but we’ll figure it out.

    Thanks again for the continued support with the show. I’ve been keeping my friends helping me with this updated on how well the posts have been doing here and they’re also appreciative. Crazy that something I started 5-6 years ago with just a simple OC to fit in to the SN community, could become a real show. Love you guys
