the main problem with decaying winter is sledge queen and how scavs can jump over each other and how they CANT get debuffs AT ALL. and then it boils down to using guns instead of melees and it just.. youre better off using trap centered perks like the bomb one or crosslink, gun ones like artillerist or arbiter, or using the new perks like apostle or drifter, theres little to no way to beat the game unless youre highly skilled and even then, if you want to kill sledge queen in the same run AND/OR get the true ending.. its near impossible because theyre all so op
im pretty sure the lab scavs can see through drifter too maybe so its just like
i wish it was more centered on teamwork and traps instead of guns in the later waves
and i wish it was easier to get the true ending but still have some of that lingering difficult-ness
and for sledgequeen, the intended way is half impossible because you have to kill GUN AND SHIELD RAIDERS just to THEN get sledgequeen all the while youre being attacked by everyone in castle
gun and shield raiders, i may repeat
the worst part is, people dont like doing it the intended way, they keep finding ways to cheese sledgequeen which leads to
cheesing sledgequeen > she gets buffed and its patched, rinse and repeat until the intended way is fully impossible and you cant even cheese her anymore unless you have like a full team but, once you do that, whats the point? you killed her, but now you probably have 4 morale. youre better off just resetting and losing the reward which, from what i can tell, is just a bunch of scrap and odens, so it ends your run
oh did i mention she has the arbiter but its permanently set on long range hit thats really hard to even do if youre doing it for the first time, AND she has 1200 hp. yeah. she can even cripple and artery you i think, so thats fun.
then theres the storm rng which gives you no time to kill her unless you lead her to the turrets but its not like you can do that when she kills you instantly and its kind of similar with a sickler kill where you lead them to the turrets and then you dont time the last hit right and so you dont get the kill
then finally, lets say you do get it
only to be killed by the storm, the raiders, or yosef
i forgot to mention, the raiders also attack you while youre fighting sledge queen even if you just shove her, so its like, theres no winning no matter how far you are against her unless you have a full team and youre all highly skilled but theres a chance that you dont even KILL HER and you all just die.
then theres the difficulty of the spawning which is rng
lets say youre going to complete the game with a full team, come to find nobody has found anything and its already approaching scav war, and you die because of the rng of not being able to find anything
not the biggest issue but its still one of them and its kind of rare but i felt like i should include this
