alright, it’s getting better and better, this seems to be working pretty much perfectly

you notice the wristband gets off if stretched too much, that’s because stretching will not affect thickness of segments (it’s just not feasible) so in this case, you’d have to build the wristband to rely on the length of a blue segment (parallel to arm) rather than the thickness of a blue segment (perpendicular, in this case)

kinda been on/off working on SN past couple weeks, but back at it, and this is about done, will now move onto other things to finally get the next update out before I move on to 2.5.0 which should be “big”-er >_>

    • to get this working I took Epitaph’s Goku, imported it, edited it, grabbed the hand node, “Modify Branch”, made all children static (they already were) and stretchy, done

“Smart Stretch” will only affect static/stretchy children nodes

    • YO!!!!!!!! That will be so helpful!!! RALPH!!! YOU’RE A LIFE SAVER!!!!

But also a suggestion for an update is so that Someone can change segments’ Opacity while making the figure. This will be helpful when making stuff like glass and stuff.

segment opacity (and as a result, all filters) are stickfigure-only for a reason :/

        lag

peeps already be lagging with 1 or 2 filtered stickfigures, to have the app have to account for and implement filters on a per-node basis would be insane lol

    • Question; How do polyfills interact with smart stretch?

      • Replying to: PermaQuestion; How do polyfills interact with smart stretch?

well I haven’t tested it yet, but if you look at the image I posted in the comments above, you can just imagine those nodes on the arm are polynodes, and the polyfill will fill them like normal as it squishes etc

So in the wristband example can be resolved with polyfills. Right?

yes, tough to explain but I didn’t even think of that

also can be resolved by making the wristband a segment going left->right not segment(s) going up->down

left->right would have stretched with the arm, if you can visualize that, tough to explain
