Add some tweened frames just at the end and as the kick starts, this creates anticipation.
Move the body back a bit to show the leg extending out getting the full amount of force it can get. If the body is kept upright not only is it harder to kick but your weight is put on the opposing leg to the one kicking hindering the kick’s force.
With adding tweened frames it will apply to the entire frame and everything in it so if you try this again and a Stickfigure moves away, make sure to re-position otherwise it will look like the Stickfigure is flying off while the other one is executing an attack or move.
my bastardized technique of animating is to make the keyframes, then basically spam combinations of “add tweened frame(s)” (with slight tweaks) to get the final product
in this case, i’d make frame 1
frame 2 would be the pose right before the kick
frame 3 would be the impact
and frame 4 the final pose
then i’d add the “Add Tweened Frames”
easing in and out from frame 1 to 2
frame 2 to 3 would be quick because its the kick
then ease out frame 3 to 4 back to a neutral pose
-but-
make sure your keyframes are GOOD
in this case, your “kick” keyframe is wack, it has no oomph behind it
thats the impact frame, its tough to see the power behind the kick because 1) buildup and animation of it seems off (its swooping rather than pushing forward) and 2) the default really doesn’t react, he just starts leaning and falls over immediately
