New Version (1.2.6) and iOS Updated to 1.2.5

So the App Store finally got around to accepting the new version of Stick Nodes last night.  It’s been a while coming, but with this update iOS users will jump from version 1.2.3 to 1.2.5.  See the previous post for the changelog of features for this version.

Anyway, it appears that the iOS version of Stick Nodes was caught up to the Android version for all of a few minutes.  The Android version was just updated to version 1.2.6 last night.  This update comes with some really nice new features.

Version 1.2.6 changelog:

  • Users can now zoom out (pinch) to 50% and move the stage area around – makes it easy to position stickfigures outside of frame!
  • Added a lock button under “Stickfigure Tools” to lock stickfigures in place – prevents accidental movement.
  • Added segment-based “flip x” and “flip y” in creation mode.
  • Attempted fix at startup crash for certain devices.
  • Miscellaneous tweaks and fixes.

Stick Nodes 1.2.6

I hope to have the iOS version of 1.2.6 uploaded today, but I’ll once again be at the mercy of the review process of the App Store.  If it doesn’t get past review by December 22nd it might not be reviewed until January (apparently iTunes Connect is going on vacation for a week).

Also don’t forget to check out the stickfigure library, there’s been some really amazing stuff submitted there!  (Once again, thanks to @S_Byrnes for setting that all up and contributing a lot of the figures!)

New Version (1.2.5)

Android users will find themselves with a new update today.  Version 1.2.5 was uploaded to all Android markets yesterday and delivers some nice improvements to the stickfigure-creation tools.

Stick Nodes 1.2.5

Here’s the changelog:

  • Fixed large stickfigure names breaking stuff
  • (The following are tweaks made to the stickfigure-creation tools)
  • Draw tools are always visible and accessible
  • “Split segment” button
  • Toggle button to show/hide nodes to make it easier to see the design
  • Outline selected segment
  • New nodes properly take on parent node’s static/stretchy property and are also ordered more logically by default (draw order)

A note to iOS users – version 1.2.4 is still in queue to be reviewed for App Store distribution.  It seems that the review queue is a little backed up, thus the long wait.  Regardless, I’ll be uploading the iOS version of 1.2.5 tomorrow.  Once I upload it it’s out of my hands as to how long until it’s available, sorry about that!

Stickfigure Library

Just a quick note about the growing stickfigure library – if you haven’t checked it out then you’re missing out!  Every day cool, new figures are being submitted for free use in your animations.

Stick Nodes DBZ

These awesome DBZ figures are being created by the talented @S_Byrnes.  Check out the People section to download them.  Feel free to submit your own stickfigures through the in-app submission form or through the online submission form.

New Version (1.2.4)

Just pushed an update out to Android users today.  This update will make its way over to iOS in a few days (review process and whatnot).

Nothing terribly major, but here’s the changelog:

  • New addition to the Library Tools section -there are now buttons there to submit and download stickfigures from the Stick Nodes stickfigure library.
  • Made some changes to hopefully fix some startup crashes that have been plaguing certain devices.
  • Miscellaneous tweaks.

That’s all for now, happy Thanksgiving to the American readers out there!
