You see the large block thing above the barrel? It’s a system integrated to the rifle called BARS (balanced automatics recoil system). Basically how an AK operates is that when it shoots a huge chunk of metal (the bolt group and gas piston) move back. This weight shift causes the muzzle to rise up. The BARS system is basically another piston (basically a counterweight) that moves forward to balance out the weight shift. So this rifle shoots really flat especially compared to AK’s which are known to have lots of recoil. (Also fun fact the AK in ak-107 means Alexandrov/kalashnikov and not avtomat Kalashnikov because youriy Alexanderov designed the BARS system for ak rifles)
