The AKAI MPC3000 is an electronic sampling machine, able to sequence or sample any recorded sound. This instrument was used heavily in Hip hop music in the 90s, most notably by the legendary producer J Dilla. His limited edition MPC3000 stays at an exhibition in the National Museum of African American History and Culture. https://nmaahc.si.edu/object/nmaahc_2014.139.1
