So during the Collapse—a multiversal event that created energy orbs in each universe what was said to destroy it if not removed—some warrios were jumbled in a mess that left everyone in a place they shouldn't have been.

Gotham is one of the less important adventures he made, but what we see here has nothing to do with Max. Batman realized after long wnough that in order to truly, truly stop his enemies he needed to use lethal force. This gave birth to a new suit, Bleeding Night. He managed to eliminate multiple of his troubles, save for the Joker himself. Special Task Force X members were handpicked to stop him, with the help of a few minor superheroes.

Also, his batarangs are programmed to aim for arteries that can cause death if cut.
