Miscellaneous

The other residents of Crystal Palace Park and victorian era paleoart alongside the three genera that will be among the first founding members of the dinosaurs, with majority of them discovered and described earlier than the first dinosaur ever described, Megalosaurus. In a time when the concept of evolution and extinction are brand new, these depictions are among the first fossil reconstructions of prehistoric animals and like the various paleoart at the time depicting them in either nightmarish and mythological imagery where artists and naturalists can project their own imaginations. Like the first three dinosaurs, these interpretations of the dinosaurs while incredibly outdated and inaccurate by modern standards would become infamous in Crystal Palace Park in London, UK and become important to the history of Paleontology.

Prehistoric animals included:
• Ichthyosaurus: Depicted with bones in eyes & fins visible eternally, amphibious cold-blooded reptile with smooth scaleless skin and a paddle-shaped tail
• Plesiosaurus: Depicted with a flexible snake-like neck, amphibious and seal-like
• Mosasaurus: Depicted with a more boxier, monitor-lizard shaped head and with larger scales
• Pterodactylus: Depicted earlier as a fuzzy bat-like marsupial and later a scaly reptile and a "poor flier"
• Teleosaurus: Depicted as roughly gharial-like
• Labyrinthodon: Depicted as roughly frog-like
• Dicynodon: Depicted as turtle-like
• Megatherium: Depicted with a small tapir-like trunk
• Anoplotherium: Depicted as small camel-like animals and even likely semi-aquatic
