A Swedish-American 9mm pistol introduced in 1984, well-known in the 1990s for its use by gangs due to its simple mechanism that could be modified to fire in fully automatic mode, also got notorious for its use by some mass shootings, such as the 101 California Street shooting in 1993 and the Columbine High School massacre in 1999, in 2001 Intratec ceased production of the gun and closed its doors.
