The PKM is a Soviet 1969 modernization of the 1961 PK machinegun. It features a lighter weight and easier production over its predecessor. The weapon is a GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun) made by the famous Kalashnikov to replace previous machineguns in the soviet military

It weighs about 8.5kg, fires the soviet 7.62×54mmR cartridge out of 100/200 round boxes with non disintegrating links and can hit targets out to about 1km.
