The Aerial Improvised Explosive Device is an explosive that appears similar as to what a firework looks like.
The Aer-IED, or more commonly known across the ISAF, Pop Rockets have a cylinder-like middle that carries the "Pop". The cylinder, or the Chamber has a system whereas, once both safety pins (the red stick-like things are pulled, the pin is pulled and it goes off, it will make a reasonably sized "pop" and a small explosion.
The backblast will send enemies flying at least 5 feet back. The shockwave from the impact will automatically kill the soldiers.
The Pop Rocket also has a tipped end in case it hits an enemy, it will stab them and then erupt. The Pop Ricket can also be used as a tripwire trap, and a spike trap. Fun fact: the Pop Rocket makes a screeching sound when launched. Fun Fact No. 2: It is also known as the "Pop 'n Whizz" because is make a whizzing sound as it hits the ground before exploding.
