Electro BackstorySo Don Daniels was 13 when he got his powers, his dream was to be an electrician so one day he was playing around with an outlet trying to fix it, when he cut the wrong wire he got a serious electrical shock.
It sent him to the ER and the doctors said there was nothing wrong with him
So he went back to school and met a new student so he gave him a handshake, when he did that the new student got electricuted
Don had no idea what happened so he had to come up with an excuse and said he had a joy buzzerAfter a while he learned that any human contact will cause them to be shocked
Don was devastated..
He had to keep himself from everybody else to keep them safe
he was alone for years and years which drove him madSo he wanted to become pure energy and the only way to do that was to drain the city of its power

There’s a few things to fix with this:
1. How did an electric shock give him power? Possibly something to do with Don not being able to sweat this not able to be electrocuted along with some kind of chemicals that day that he took in on accident due to a bad parent with poor parenting skills which also led to his twisted beliefs that what he was doing was right.
2. How did he go so long before being released from the hospital without touching anyone only for his abilities to kick in at school
3. If he were to find out about his abilities he’s still in school and young so the idea of him going into hiding for years is less applicable unless you were to say that he was incredibly intelligent and that he ran away focusing on using his powers, later he joined a gang or something similar and ended up in another accident thus furthering and fully initiating his powers completely.
This was he then would have reason to get revenge on others and have a backstory to support it along with his powers.
