Humor is inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique it. I will also leave story out, because even though this says it is a prologue, it’s basically a fight animation.
This is yet another example of a StickNodes fight without implementing the concept of impact. There are some dynamic angles used, and they do look pretty interesting. There aren’t many effects, but they are passable enough. The problem comes through the direct swordfight conflict; there isn’t power. They look like they are flinging around with noodle arms. There need to be animated reactions to show the impact a punch or kick or sword slice has on something. There isn’t power or impact put into any hits, and the fight is mediocre because of that aspect. The dialogue is also very bad and interrupts the pacing of the fight. This is overall a very passable work.
Pretty average. While the use of angles is very neat, the animation is overall decent and nothing visually even with the angles is impressive. Especially when the background is rather dull the entire time. There’s also lot’s of cliche dialogue and events which really damages the entertainment value. This apparently is supposed to be a prologue or something for a series and I sure hope not. Cause this has nothing for story. But as a battle I will give it an average rating.
2/5
