Humor is inapplicable to this animation, so I will not critique it.
This is simply a trailer for an actual collab, so there isn’t much out of storyline here, which is ok. The trailer itself does well in setting a theme of mystery while providing important bits for the audience to pick on, such as Maria seeking revenge for the death of Braker. It depicts the setting very well while also not spoiling anything, which is appreciated.
The animation itself is a compilation of entries, so I won’t critique that portion, but the editing is well done for sure. The syncing with the music is also very well made, and it definitely made the trailer fun to watch. I particularly enjoyed the flashing words in correspondence with the lyrics of the song. There are occasional moments where the images are reused or overstay their welcome, but it is, in general, a consistent fun animation to watch.
Overall, this doesn’t provide anything unique or game-changing but is still a well-made trailer that is enjoyable to watch.
As a trailer. It’s okay. The stuff we see here looks pretty professional and with glimpses into the story, it makes you want to find out more. Theres some flaws though like recycled scenes in the same trailer. I swear I saw the same scene like 3 times. Theres use of backgrounds all throughout and theres some really good looking shots with the lighting and that. No humor which is fine and not really much to go off of here to give it a good rating for story. But I’m looking forward to seeing what this is about. Theres at least a bit of animation here which I respect. Improvement from the last one I saw.
