Why? Because in 2003, everyone was pissed because “Y NO SONIC ADVENTURE 3” because Sonic Heroes was made instead. This game wasn’t well received, everyone hated it, I’m not lying, I saw this game’s evolution in front of my eyes.
And then, when that parody of Sonic Heroes came out (Seaside Denied) everyone was like “OH THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME <3 <3", yeah right. I just don't understand them. Why do you all of a sudden love something you hated for years? It just doesn't make sense. Can someone explain me?
Heroes had a lot of potential and everyone stomp on it as if it was trash. im not unto this game as Felix is but i was paying attention to this game, it is in my opinion is the last good sonic game. sonic adventure 3 was the expectation of a sega fan, and since they were so hyped about a sequel to sa2, their dreams got tore away because of heroes. they didnt even cared about gameplay, all they wanted was sonic adventure 3. and yes, Felix is right, everyone started to love this game since seaside denied, “nostalgia” got over hatred, if we can call this nostalgia to these people. even this day some games such as sonic colors, generations and the mobile game sonic dash made small references to sonic heroes due to its raising popularity and because of seaside denied. and here, on this website you have a perfect example of an actual person that loves sonic heroes, for real. tbh i’m really impressed of Felix’s persistance, hes always proud of telling to the world that his favorite game is sonic heroes, the underrated game that killed the sonic adventure franchise.

No but seriously, Sonic Heroes is probably the last Sonic game I’ve played, and I do remember enjoying it a lot.
Actually I lied, I’ve played Sonic Generations a little, I think. And Sonic 4 too a little. Though they’re both not very memorably so I guess they weren’t that good.
Sonic isn’t quite popular in france, i was always sticking around with some british friends on msn to talk about the sonic games, i think the last one we talked about was sonic generations. so you prefer the old sonic games over the new ones hm? sonic forces looks good tho. heroes is the last enjoyable, but i play generation most of the time because they kept some good levels like chemical plant and city escape. classic sonic is kind of slippery.
when dmlan saw that seaside hill zone on generations he was yelling around the sonic heroes theme song. my family is drunk. but i’ll prefer Sonic 2 forever, i just need to find my genesis back.

Sonic 4 is a bit lame, they tried to bring back the old classic 2d style but they failed, Sonic generations is a good Sonic game but you know, Heroes is over all of em.
And what? Ralph actually liked Sonic Heroes? Ho this is amazing, you never told me this before.
You know, I think people didn’t liked Sonic Heroes because of its slowpace, you have to switch between Power, speed and fly all the time, it’s just a feature that pretty much nobody liked. I didn’t really care honestly.
I also may have different opinions because Sonic Heroes was my first game and I sure love this game, as you may know. It’s a beast beating the crap out of everything, there are so many references about Sonic Heroes on the new games. It’s even on the Sonic Mania commercial, like god no one likes this game, but Sega sure does. So why aren’t they making a sequel? I’d buy the required console to play it.
But if there’s one thing Sonic Heroes learned me, is that unique sentence of the intro. “What comes up, must come down.” That sentence is perfectly telling Sega’s status right now.
But they shall know that TOGETHER WE STAND STRONG NO MATTER HOW! NO ONE CAN BRING US DOWN, HEEEEEYYY

Yeah I’m a big fan of the original Genesis games. I’ve probably played and beaten Sonic 1-3, & Knuckles 100 times.
Haven’t played many after that, but I did play a lot of Sonic Heroes shortly after it came out and do remember enjoying it. I still prefer 2D Sonic, and that’s what I thought would be appealing with Generations, etc.
Anyway, I am looking forward to this throwback 2D Sonic game coming out in May, already have it preordered.

I’d offer some input here if I had ever heard of “Seaside Denied” before.
