So say an almost inmortal being were to come up upon this attack who has multiple forms for combat and utility, would he survive?

He’d die, Ethereal Cataclysm attacks the very magic within you, no matter how little you may have and tears it apart into nothingness, remember The amount of magical energy released in this one attack alone could power a continent the size of africa for a decade or longer, it’s getting multiple nukes directly to the face
So… what would happen if you and an evil clone of you both performed this attack on each other at the same time?
Well, Ethereal Cataclysm targets magic as said before and Epitaph has a lot of magic in him. On top of that, Ethereal Cataclysm consumes 50% of his current magical potential.
In other words, they’d kill eachother and create a super Ethereal Catalysm in the process, decimating and area the size of a large city

It’s useless then, if it attacks the magic in someone, it wouldn’t kill them, just kill their magic
Magic is tied to life force. It would rob you of your soul.
Also, remember that is only part of it, the majority is just pure energy like in a nuclear explosion as said in the description.
