Potator, a super villain of Chicago, Illinois.
Origin:
In Cork, Ireland, programmer Hector Flannigan created an online bot as a digital companion.
After weeks, he finished its creation, but he kept developing it. At one point, he opened it to the whole city, allowing everyone in Cork to use the bot Hector calls Tato-Bot. Tato-bot is a technological companion which shows a screen of the potato known as Tato.
One day, Hector Flanigan develops the bot so much that it ends up breaking into Hector's codes. Tato-bot is able to use code from Hector's computer to hack into other bots and technology in the city. Feeling that Hector is nothing to him, Tato-Bot hacks into factory machinery programs and begins to construct a body. The machines construct chips and insert them into a potato in which Tato-bot's codes transfer into.
With Tato-bot's new body, he creates himself a screen to attach to himself. Tato uses the screen to express emotions and speak. After creating a robotic dagger to attach to his head, Tato-bot kills Hector Flannigan and moves onto a plane going to the United States. He hides in the baggage and the plane lands in Chicago.
So Tato-bot begins a whole rampage of crime and changes his name to Potator.

This reminds me of glados.
Reminds me of Aeronomatron from Brandom Mull’s Five Kingdoms series. Aeronomatron went rouge, taking control of Zeropolis and its bots and tech. City Patrol took it all down, and sealed off that city. Now there is a new Zeropolis, literally named “New Zeropolis”. By the way, Aero is a supercomputer designed by the best technomancers.
