Being a Mei Yamazuki video, it’s to be expected that the sound quality is well done, the music is very well edited and Mei clearly knows how to use sound to make events more impactful. The story itself, while short and to the point, tries to do too much with too little. You can’t really get attached to this character with a simple montage of characters looking happy and kissing and then having Kaido’s girlfriend die. If there was more buildup and more to work with, this could have a profound effect, but there isn’t much. Regardless, it’s a short and sweet animation. It isn’t too profound or well-done, so I can’t give it a 3/5 for overall quality, but it still is an enjoyable view for what it is worth.

PL Team Slave OwnerThis is a different kinda animation and I like that. It holds a simple visual look which is consistant. Characters unfortunatly aren’t very different from each other. All wearing scarfs and having different colors. But with only a few characters in the animation, that works with all the rest. Very good work. Instead of telling a story though dialogue, it is shown. It leaves the viewer to put together the pieces until ultimatly reaching the tragic conclusion which is complemented by the amazing musical work. I try to include that syncing of music in my animations and it certainly isn’t easy so I gotta commend you for that. No humor, but screw the humor here cause the tone is set to be sad, and it’s executed very well. As a standalone animation though, it doesn’t function as a sad piece as much as it would within a series. But it does give depth into Kaidos character. Though I still have yet to find enough unique things about him.
