Story and Humor are inapplicable to this animation, so I won’t critique them.
This is a basic DBZ StickNodes fight, and that’s the best to explain it. No dialogue, no story to know, nothing of the sort in that regard, which is completely ok. The fight itself was made for the sake of displaying a fight, so it shall be reviewed as such.
The fight itself isn’t really that special. It is decently animated, but there are no dynamic angles or unique stylizations, which are critical for DBZ-Inspired animations. This is a basic 2D fight, and there isn’t much to say about that. It really lacks a lot, and there is a lot better to view than what is being given. It is mediocre, so fairly enjoyable to watch, but there is a lot to improve here. It isn’t that the animation is necessarily bad, more so that it lacks the things that would qualify it as good.
The animation in this is pretty average. The low FPS DBZ style doesn’t trick my eyes to thinking bad posing is good posing. But it’s pretty decent. It works for this. Visually it’s average too. It’s got a background and its got some detail in the effects and characters. Problem is both characters look nearly identical first glance. Thry don’t really have some drasticly different features. That at the characters aren’t introduced so we don’t know who is who. But the fight overall is entertaining.
2/5
