Storyline and humor are inapplicable to this series tryout, so I won’t critique them.

On one hand, the fighting is pretty nice and consistent, and the usage of powers and choreography is rather entertaining. On the other, the dialogue is really bad and interferes with the pacing of the rest of the fight. This is a great example of the stereotypical fight scene in SN that is well animated but has dialogue problems and pacing issues. Watching the fighting was entertaining, seeing the characters talking was not. Conversations can be especially entertaining in movies, but this one was not well executed. It serves its purpose as a series tryout well but could be much higher if it weren’t filled to the brim with edgy speaking and bad pacing. It’s a moderate animation. It’s enjoyable, but the talking gets to be too much.

Low 3/5.

This is something that had me quite impressed. Fluid animation is hard to come by but this was cleanly done but with problems. Effects and use of backgrounds is something that is done well and the dynamic piece within the background supports that. Mad respect for all of this since actual effort was put in. But the speaking in the middle of battle with the pauses is hard to ignore. It’s kinda annoying and the dialogue doesn’t give much to enhance anything here. But this certainly is something that deserves more attention alone for that animation ability.
