This series has quite the potential but falters on a couple of aspects. The visuals are clearly the high-point of the series, as the cinematic aspects of the city are rather good-looking and the detail on the characters is commendable. The dialogue is decent but lacks personality, as do the characters. Slang is not a personality. The action scene with the main protagonist’s fire powers being unleashed was pretty good looking, and the overall animation quality is commendable. The camera angles really do bring the animation down, however. Oftentimes, the zoom is way too close on character faces, and not enough time is taken to establish scenes. Overall, these bugs bring down the series a bit, but there still is some quality to behold, and fixing these problems would increase the quality of the series by a large amount.
This was pretty good. Lets start off with how much I love the uniqueness of this series. The visuals in this are pretty decent. But at the same time, the visuals are butchered by horrible use of depth of field. You got this simple but gorgeous background, and then it blurs right up for no reason like your internet dropped by one bar on youtube. So the visuals got potential, but they are constantly being destroyed. To the point it negatively effects the animation as a whole. The action was pretty could aside from the common reliance on slow motion and even looped animations. Camera work can be atrocious too which also pulls away from this. Animation overall is pretty decent. Theres areas where it’s pretty nice, then others where it’s lacking. The character designs are great and distinguishable in fact they are solid for this series. Character personaliies on the other hand aren’t that refined. The story is pretty good too with the concept of people who have powers in a modern setting along with the backstories happening. This series has potential. But it has some things to work on.
Low 3/5.
the character designs and just overall scene design/cinematography is top notch
and when the action kicks off holy crap does it kick off
lol @ all the yell/scream/pain sounds tho
I haven’t watched the other episodes yet so I can’t give an accurate account of the story, but visual/entertainment wise this series seems great
