This is a 2013 Toyota Crown Athlete S210 which is the 14th Generation of the Crown. It is a 100HP front-engine, rear wheel drive or all wheel drive mid-sized luxury sedan and it has many engine options ranging from a V6 to an I4 Turbo or an I4 Hybrid. It is offered with two transmission options which is a 6-speed or an 8-speed automatic.

Introduced in 1955 as the Toyopet Crown which was initially intended only for private purchase, the Crown is one of Toyota's special models as it is one of the long running car nameplates affixed in any Toyota model and it carries it's own special emblem resembling a crown placed on the grill and the steering wheel. It is also known as the first Toyota to be exported in the United States in 1958, selling the first four generations that lasted in 1973 and was replaced by the Corona Mark II.

The Crown is primarily aimed at Asian markets and it proved to be quite popular for government and businesses usage in the form as a police car or a taxicab, think of it as the Ford Crown Victoria of Japan.

Here's some trivia behind some of Toyota's model names. The Corona, introduced as a smaller companion to the Crown means "crown" in Latin and was initially exported as the "Tiara", while the Corolla took its name from the corolla ("small crown") in Latin. The Camry's name is derived from the Japanese phrase kanmuri (冠, かんむり) meaning "little crown".
