A version of the CARB Base Unit, it's merely just the rifle with it's barrel and handguard removed and replaced with a snub muzzle, it is issued to SEC-Ops personel on guard duty at Hell's Gate, though it was also issued to mining personel who were conscripted by Colonel Miles Quaritch when he was building up an large invasion force to attack and destroy the Tree of Souls.
