The first ever reconstruction of Tyrannosaurus rex. Named and described in 1905 and becoming a instant hit among general audiences, and dubbed the "King of the Dinosaurs" and "The Prize Fighter of Antiquity". Depicted as a cold-blooded reptilian animal with the traditional tail-dragging kangaroo-stance of other bipedal dinosaurs in the time period. It's often depicted with a more iguana/lizard like skull before more fossil material was discovered, the animal would eventually become the most popular and well-known dinosaurs both in the world and paleontology as a whole. (Also there's a 2nd spikeless version in the 2nd frame in the movieclip)

Probably somewhere in the future…
Design by Dane Pavitt btw (I’m aware that the rex reference I used is labelled as Megalosaurus – 1930s but since it literally looks like the Charles R Knight Tyrannosaurus, I’m naming it a rex)
Kinda makes me wonder why Dane didn’t use that design for a retro rex
