During World War II, the U.S. Army expanded from about 190,000 active-duty personnel in 1940 to over 8 million by 1945 and played a central role in the Allied victory over the Axis powers. The Army integrated women through organizations like the Women's Army Corps and adopted new organizational structures and tactics to improve combat effectiveness. Also this pack DOES have the weapons in the photo.
