| Ralph started making Stick Nodes one day because he was bored. He grew up practically addicted to a stickfigure-animation program called Pivot which sparked his interest in both animation and game development.
Eventually he got into Flash animation and Flash game development. He released quite a few games into the Flash gaming community, check out his portfolio for links.
Once mobile devices started taking over, he moved over to attempt Android games. After a few failed attempts, he released Plunder Peril - a quick 2-3 week project that was meant as Android-development practice.
After Plunder Peril, Ralph began work on Stick Nodes and in August 2014, Stick Nodes was released on Android with the iOS version following in November. Stick Nodes is built in Java with the LibGDX framework and uses RoboVM to port to iOS.
Fast forward to March 2020 when he was revising this page and he honestly can't believe Stick Nodes is still going so strong. Onward to world domination...
Fast forward again to August 2023 and really, I haven't been cancelled yet? |

| Sean is the site administrator and creator of the stickfigure submission system as well as a majority of the DBZ stickfigures. He also has a funny accent.
At around age 12 he discovered Pivot, ended up on Droidz.org looking for stickfigures to use in his animations, got fairly good after about 2 years.
He decided to make a website to host his animations on after having been on the forums for a long time. That's what got him into webdesign since the first iteration of his website was a terrible looking flash-based thing that at the time he thought was the best thing out.
After a while he realized how stupid it looked and behaved. So he looked into HTML and CSS, got it looking slightly better but it wasn't until he found WordPress that it started looking decent.
After that he went off the grid for a bit, got his Cert IV in IT and Webdesign, cemented his understanding of the internet protocols.
Lately he's been helping out around the Stick Nodes community and has been managing Animation Alpha. He's also been looking into game development and has begun a project that he hopes to finish one day soon, he can't really reveal anything about it but it's for mobile devices and will be a 2D sidescroller. |

I broke one of my favorite ps2 games yesterday, it was DBZ Budokai tenkaichi. I’m not really into DBZ, but the game is really fun.
So, since it’s broken, I bought it’s sequel in my “retro” video game store. The game originally costed 4.85€ but I paid 4€ instead since I’m good friends with the shopkeeper. Plus, he gave me a Titanfall 2 shirt for free, which is really cool.
So I went home, plugged my ps2 in and played the game. And this game is 10 billion better than the first one, cuz you can transform into super sand on the battlefield instead of choosing which form you want on the character menu. Also they explain the story a bit better in adventure mode lol.
Why am I talking about this? Maybe because Ralph likes dbz and I would totally destroy him on Budokai Tenkaichi.
I am also a fan of Dragon Ball.
It’s quite the delicacy.
Also anyone would destroy Ralph in any game ever.
And Sean magically comes out of nowhere.
Ralph only knows how to play Battlefield, yet I have doubts.
Yeah I only have Budokai 1 and 3, and Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3.
Apparently Budokai 2 and Budokai Tenkaichi 1 are the “worst” of their respective series.
I only ended up with these games and not the others by coincidence though.

I dont like Budokai. It doesn’t have the “free roam” style that Budokai Tenkaichi has.
And excuse me? Budokai Tenkaichi 1 is the worst of it’s respective series? This game is just the same as the other ones of the series, or close.
True, it’s been a while since I played them, but I believe my feelings were they were both good in different ways referring to the fighting system. I forgot exactly how though.
But you just said you bought the sequel (BT 2) and it was better than BT 1.
I was referring to Budokai (1,2,3) and Budokai Tenkaichi (1,2,3) as two different series if I wasn’t being clear.
I said BT2 was better because there are more characters, you can transform during battle (speaking of transformations,MightyEtt and I made a Frieza vs Cell battle, the fastest to transform to the final state wins) and the best of all, the story is well explained for ignorants like me.
But what I meant by “All the games from the BT series are the same” is that each game got the same stuff, Z fusion thing, tournaments, story mode, none of these games have unique features, unlike other franchises.
Ok lets be honest. cant we just all agree that DBZ hyper dimension for the snes was the best dragon ball z game ever?

It’s a street fighter rip off, it sucked in my opinion.
But if we’re talking about nostalgia, I’ll say Budokai Tenkaichi 1 is the best DBZ. Now, I really prefer BT2, it’s so good (I played it all day yesterday, my ps2 wasn’t even hot, that was surprising). I really can’t tell if the BT2 models are the same as BT1 though.

More it’s there best online game on ps4,ps3,xbox one, xbox360 and PC.it’s a game where you create your own character fight the story line,fight players online or fight PC characters offline, play in a city,do team battle battles online or offline,buy items,accesores and skills,train with multiple dragon ball heroes or villance
Do quest fight in an online world tournament,buy modes for the game,plays as your created character or dragon ball characters(heroes or villance available) and have new transformations like giant nameks(for namekian characters)
Golden frieza(for Frieza race characters)nimbus and staff transformation(for earthling characters)kid Buu form(for Majin characters)but saiyan characters are only able to transform to super saiyan 1,2 and 3(note:only created saiyan characters not like Goku vegita or Gohan Goku can still go super saiyan god and Vegeta)
Also new form for saiyan created characters potential unleash,new characters and enemies.
Also the story of the game is that the enemies are destroying the time line and you must stop them and save Goku and the others and protect history.
Dragon xenoverse 1 and 2 where both awesome can’t wait for the third one XD
PS:You can find dragon ball in parallel quest to summon shenron and get one wish like money,items,skills(super skills ultimate or transformations),change stats, change character looks,new characters,rare items more.
I bought Xenoverse 2 years ago and got half-way through Story mode. I just started playing it again this week.
I’m bad at playing games lol.
I’d like to get Xenoverse 2 but I don’t want to see any spoilers for DBS/Goku Black, etc…

So for our computer lesson we learned about cyber bullying (A.K.A: Bad to Cringe) and empathy. And of course I am forced for this poor soul…Help I want to say. But I create it while cringing then we finish computer and leave. Well I think they’ve fixed people direct linking to their gifs, at least the new stuff anyway because it won’t let me upload a gif without it becoming a .gifv and then you can’t direct link that without using Imgurs code which looks like ass with a border and stats around it.

Just a thing that I thought about for a while but Ralph, What if you were to add built in backgrounds into the app? And I don’t mean like an image, I mean a background that you can edit an everything. But if you were to make a background and upload it as a stick figure it takes 1 of your 20 figures. Could you add an option or button for that please? Or don’t and just explain why?
Btw I’m kind of new to the site.

First off thanks for using the app.
But is it really a major thing to have a stickfigure-background taking up the 1/20 stickfigures? That’s pretty much the only way to have an interactive-like background in your animations.
But I am upping the stickfigure limit to 25 in the next update, so there’s that.
I guess not but I’m just having a hard time finding a good background to use for my animations.Thank you though.
Also I saw that other people wanted things like being able to take limbs off of a stick figure. Are you going to do anything with that or no? Just wondering.
