The Hunter, one of Grodot’s most fearsome predators.

Being able to traverse on clouds, these creatures have adapted to live in these conditions, thin and moist air. In their free time, these beastly reptiles gaze at the world below them, watching for their meal. Whether it’s a warrior or a wandering traveler, the Hunter will never turn down a quick bite.

Once their target is found, they begin the hunt. They make roar and show bits of their wings and legs, to grab the attention of their prey. This grows fear inside them, making them taste better to the Hunter. Once the scent of fear reaches the clouds, the Hunter swoops down and quickly finishes them off, with either a simple bite or Cloud Breath, which is when the air in and around the Hunter’s mouth swirls and condenses, then bursts in a unpredictable, swerving beam of cloud-like air.

If the Hunter sees a village or large number of people, they know they won’t survive. So, they fly as fast as possible, moving the water around in the clouds. This creates a storm that, when big enough, alerts other Hunters in remote area. Once enough Hunters have flown over, they all attack at once, leaving nothing behind but bones and destroyed buildings.
