Li’l late to the party, but I’m thankful that I discovered Nimona. Seriously this is one of the best movies I’ve ever watched. It’s about a shapeshifting girl who gets called a monster helping a knight who got framed for the assassination of the queen, is the only knight who’s not from royal blood, and is also called a monster, clear his name.

The girl is also an allegory for trans people and the hardships they have to go through, which kinda makes sense since in the movie, she said she feels uncomfortable when in her human form (the one she was born with) but when she becomes literally any other character, she feels free. It would’ve been nice if they used more animals for her to shapeshifter into, pretty sure there were only, like, 5, but it’s mostly great other than that.

Also there’s gay people that feel like normal characters that just so happen to like men, so that’s a plus. It’s on Netflix, highly recommend you give it a watch.
