Welcome, I’ll do random things here, updates, series, remakes, etc. Not much to say, it’s pretty simple.

Maximus Millard V11Jesus Christ I’ve really blown through eleven versions of this goon. I decided to keep the hair down,
suck it upsorry for completely invalidating all of your opinions. Not much to say, but I will explain a neat little lore thing I added with the help of a friend who gave me the idea.Grodotnite Blacksmiths braid a small part of their hair, adding beads to represent tiers of skill. In order from worst to best, it’s:
1. Red
2. Green
3. Purple
4. Orange
5. TealThe only 5th tier blacksmith was Max’s mentor, who disappeared shortly after the pilot episode’s events. Max is at three, see second picture.
Welp, that’s all for now. Enjoy.

March ChecklistIf I feel the need to, I might do this before the months so I know what to do, and others know what to expect
and can berate me for not accomplishing said goals.Goals
– Finish @maawoz‘s remake (I did not forget)
– Continue Friday wheels after ^
– Gain skill in making animals
– Make some of Grodot’s many plants
– (Possibly in April) Remake Nick and Bariks in new style
– Make some short animations and goof around -
I finished Max’s hair before he spikes it. Now, a question for you all.
Should I keep it like this through the series, or include the usual spiked-up variant?

Changed the Jawa it, as well as the eyebrows and added the Lunite Mark. Thought he doesn’t see it, I want a reoccurring thing where people note Max’s face, specifically his eyes and I guess you could say attractiveness but that seems to vague. Now, as someone who sucks ass at making faces, I’m not entirely sure I pulled that off…
Now I just have to make the hair, Good grief.

(Might remove the jaw shading.)
-
I’m digging the face, I think you did well on it

As a little tip for making jaws and heads on a Stickfigure, don’t be afraid to make it much smaller because once you add a jaw in the shape will come together and you’ll be glad you made that move. For female characters you’re alright to make the head bigger or more rounder ( less shape to the jaw ) as they have rounder faces and heads.
As for the eyes, mouth, nose etc use a little line of reference to establish the angling and where everything should be.
Look at reference pictures and keep in mind what angle you’re going for, mixing two accidentally can look very off.

Maybe alter the colour of the eyebrows to be a more natural consistent blue then a more forced heavy gradient of blue and black.

10 because great detail different color eyes and cool gradient eyebrows

Insert Weapon Name Here, Because I Don’t Know What to Call ItThis weapon, adapted from sports equipment, has a thick, flat ring on each wrist, while still allowing for movement of hands. While the originals don’t include the rope, Max added these for both close and long ranged combat. The blunt weapons allow devastating blows when swung, even more so when charged with Unstable Arc that explodes when the object imbued makes contact.

I’m currently making a sport commonly played in Grodot, called Ring-Running. This is also a weapon Max will use, adapted by the sports equipment.
Afterwards, I will get started on various plants and animals previously mentioned. These include Bunchos, The paint-like plant in the other post, and Lunos.

Add some half ellipse trap muscles and increase the neck thickness a tad.
If needs be, decreasing the head size could help too.

Half ellipse what muscles?
-
Replying to:
The trapezius, by adding it just from where that line is that makes the top part of the body you can make it look like traps.
If you’re still lost I’ll pull up an example, it’s no trouble.

Sort of, I quickly made this little tip guide to give you a rough idea.
In step 1 we have our main top half torso node, this will mean that from the base of the lat muscles – the sloped triangular shape that goes into the hips, you will want to place a half ellipse with the same thickness as said lat muscle base ( step 2 ). Finally we have step 3 or more just 3 showcasing what it should look like.
If you make it low enough not to take up the room the rounded segment has you can really make the trap muscles pop, with the neck in the right position just above the main top half torso node and making sure that once moved it doesn’t come out of range due to it being too thick it should come together nicely.

On Grodot, there is a plant that has a natural substance in its stem similar to oil paint. The color of the “paint” is signaled by the petal color, and the stem can be broken to access said paint. Grodotnites (Grow-Dough-Nights) commonly paint their face and clothing before battle, or for certain formal occasions.
Here is an example of Max’s waist cloth with paint.
