Lore Bit:
When one strains their essence, either by performing too many feats of power, or by pushing beyond their natural reserves, it can lead to what is known as “essence fever.” The symptoms of which may vary. They may become tired/lethargic, and lose concentration or focus easily, or grow nauseous and dizzy. Some severe cases can even result in small comas. Unlike regular illnesses, essence fever isn’t physical. It is purely a malady of the soul, and cannot be cured through normal medicine. The only cure is by resting and recovering energy. Peculiarly, it may also be treated from simply being around a trusted companion, the essence of said individual easing the strain by naturally sharing small yet steady amounts of energy. -

Been rewatching gwain saga once again, decided to make this little test animation to un-rust a bit.
Might make a full fledged fight for fun? Maybe. One of my biggest issues recently has been making stuff that isn’t that fun to make, and I nearly got burnt out thanks to that. We’ll see how things go.

So last night, I was testing out expressions with my characters and realized “damn, these eyes Really suck and I hate working with them.”
I am now testing out a more complex alternative while keeping it connected to my “style” I have going. I feel like this is a nice direction so far, even though I threw it together rather fast. Will give updates here when I make more progress.This is kinda going to suck since I have to replace the eyes of the many characters I have, but once I get the templates done, it shouldn’t be difficult making unique eyes for each character.
..considering how the old eyes are from a figure I made in 2019, this was long overdue. -
Returning to lore bits! Upped the detail on the background a bit more for this one.
Lore bit:
A great Delthulian snack is the crystals of the earth. To any other race, eating crystallized minerals may seem like an awful (and painful) experience, but to Delthulians, they’re a tasty morsel. Unharmed from the consumption, they enjoy their crunchy treats as a midday snack, or a desert.
..yes, that means you might catch Zen eating a few rocks like an actual maniac. Being half Delthulian, he has a guilty pleasure of crunching on crystals, describing them as “sweet and embrittled.” His particular favorite crystal to consume are the Ashca crystals which form commonly on the western side of the Nufk highlands, they apparently have a cherry taste… to only him. -
After 3 or so months of on and off experiments with fl studio, I have made the first of (hopefully) many songs that I’m going to use for the animations. I certainly had fun learning how to use these new tools.
This piece will be heard in the Nufk highlands, a mountain range frozen in an eternal blizzard from Althen’s wind curse. Chilly.
