Exiled is a series of animations I’ve been working on, which follows Lucky, a void-cursed Valkyrian.
Plot summary being rewritten, check back soon.
Here I post updates on the story, short test animations, figures, lore dumps, etc.

Hey all, apologies for the radio silence. Enjoyed my vacation, then took a small break from making much.
Back though, and ready to keep going. (Mostly so I can enter the collab with some shiny new figures.)
Starting a touchup on Lucky, by far my most neglected oc even though he is the main one…
He literally still had the file name “Lucky 2022 eyes test” ffs. Not to mention the layering issues, messy unoptimized nodes, and just… poor choices.
Here is the beginning, planning on doing more for this lad. Left is new, right is old.

All main characters now have the new hand rigs.
Hydro has some new minor improvements too, better armor and some nice fur coating.
I will have to make other angles for… well, every arm for every main character, but it’ll be a much smoother ride now that my main changes are out of the way.
In the meantime, I’m gonna go enjoy my time in wildwood. Take care.

Think I like this version of the hands. Simple outline around the fingers (albeit with layering issues I am gonna fix later) as well as minor touch ups to the rest of the arms.
These poor lads have had nubs instead of hands for 6 whole years. Anyways, back to updating all of them.

Experimenting with better hands. They still look a bit off, will have to tweak it more.
Considering I’ll have to make this change for every character I’ve ever made, this’ll take a bit probably.

i think it’s just the stiff positioning
which is partially a limitation of sticknodes itself, not your skillslots of 90 degree turns and whatnot as you can see
when a real human hand would look like doing a peace sign would be something more like this
(*i haven’t drawn a human hand in years, please excuse that):
i think the most noticeable detail here is that the the thumb rests *on* the ring and pinky fingers

I like it as it is to be honest, a more ‘ detailed ‘ version sounds appealing but I feel as if this matches the style and proportions of the rest of the character.

Lore Bit:
Aquarians have a rather noticeable drinking culture. You’d be hard pressed to find an Aquarian that isn’t holding some kind of liquor. Generations of family’s have researched and mastered fermentation methods, creating the first carbonated drinks, and some rather acquired tastes. Thanks to this fact, Aquarian brews have reached a legendary status in many realms, especially thanks to their decision to seal off their own realm from outsiders.

Nilsians are incredibly resilient against extreme temperatures on both ends of the spectrum. They have adapted to survive in both scorching heat and freezing tundras. They can regulate their own body temperature freely, so even in the harshest conditions they will still remain comfortable.
To some especially gifted Nilsians, a hot tub filled with molten lava can be considered relaxing.

Lore Bit:
Valkyrians do sometimes have the right genes to form tails, but they are exceedingly rare. Only certain clans with the right lineage (those close to the original bloodline) will even have a small chance of having the ability. The gene is recessive, and most times it will skip a few generations.
Tails provide a boost to flight endurance, maneuverability, and speed.
One such clan with this rare gene is the Imia clan, who, as you know by our favorite little shadow man, does have their fair share of rare tailed individuals.

Lore Bit:
Delthulians have an affinity for senses and perception in all forms. Eyesight which can rival a hawk, smell that can discern the smallest trace of scent, ears sensitive enough to hear the heartbeat of a stalker in hiding.
This makes them exceptional trackers, but also means they can suffer from sensory overload.
Zen, even though halfblooded, inherited these traits, allowing his team the opportunity to sleep while he watches their campsite.

Lore Bit:
Aquarians have a natural ability to hold their breath for extended periods of time. This allows them to dive deeper and swim for longer durations. Thanks to their water manipulation abilities, they are able to propel themselves at high speeds, even faster than their Valkyrian cousins when taking on water. They are not, however, immune to the cold, making their skills limited to warmer waters.
