This is a competition that tests the weapon-making skills of the SN Community.
Description
Users will be given a weapon to create, and they will have 10 days to make it. There will most likely be a total of 5 weapons this year. Our judges (Biscuit, Warlock, and InfiniteGuess) will base their scores on:
– Accuracy to Weapon / 10
– Weaponβs Functionality / 10
– Design and Style Points / 10
Rules
Next are the rules that must be followed while making the weapons and in the group as a whole.
1. Please make the weapon that was listed, not whatever you decide is right. Doing so will drop your weaponβs score to 0.
2. Lack of completion before the week results in no points.
3. One stick-figure per weapon. Accessories like sheaths are excluded from this and can be made separate.
4. Only stickfigures! This is not a test of oneβs drawing or art skills, this is a test of their figure-making skills. Sprites will NOT be allowed, sorry.
Submission Requirements
– @ the 3 judges
– Name of weapon
– Description or lore if you made any
– Picture of the weapon with node counts
– File of the weapon
If you submit your figures to the stick page, we would appreciate it if the submission name started with βFC23β.
Once again, me and the judges wish you all luck this year!

I like this idea, might give it a try although I wanted to leave behind some things before anything.
1. Maybe Ralph could add some little badge for events like this, maybe not right now for this specifically but I think we should have more user-based events that have official connection with prizes even if theyβre just a badge, something of some worth that makes you feel like youβve experienced and done these things.
2. Before we begin making anything are we going to have votes for who may be the ones voting as well as maybe what the different standards mean, for example: β what is considered functional β
Thatβs all Iβve got to say in regards to this for now, Iβm definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes, good luck to every participant.

badges for community things are a good idea
just gotta have strict criteria where the leaders of such events aren’t gonna just flake out or half-ass it

Sort of a hit and miss there in some aspects but given enough people join as a criteria standard for said badges not only would it be fair but also thereβd be more possibility for reliable βleadersβ to step up.

Man I joined this group because uhm, idk anyways hi sticknodes after two months of not being here

I have never made a weapon in my life lmao
but I shall examine from the sidelines with great interest

I have a bunch of questions:
Will there be only melee weapons ?
Are shields part of the weapon pool too ?
Can we have an example of twist ?
If you make a Google sheet with all of the candidats, will it be public ?-
The google sheet is actually a good idea, I may do that.
I feel like itβs a bad idea to say what weapons will be and what will not, I donβt want people making them early and hoping they made the right weapon or something similar. I want that element of surprise. The most I can say, is that handheld firearms are not included. While shields can be used as a weapon, itβs mainly defensive but you never know.
What I mean by twist is like βok make a great-sword but it has to be futuristicβ. Basically, something to make it unique, to add a different sort of addition to the challenge. Not all of the weeks will include twists.

Oh ok, for the weapons I was just asking for the types due to the 2nd rule confusing me bit for stuff like blades, spear and melee in general.
For the twist I was a bit scared it could be a bit more pushed like “but make stretchable” but if they are simple twists relating to the “era” or style, than I’m less scared
