I GOTTA get myself an interview.

Hey lemon! Honored to have an interview, thanks for doing this! I shall get into answering the questions now

1. I’m doing great today! Had to wake up a bit early to get our pool prepared for summer, but we made a pizza afterwards and overall the day is going smoothly so far. Also of course I animate! (Once a year, at least). Hope you have a great day too!

2. What brought me to Sticknodes? Animating interested me, but not the hand drawn kind, I was looking for a program that I could do puppet like, rigged animation since I didn’t know how to draw. No idea something like pivot existed (didn’t have a computer of my own at the time anyways) so I searched the AppStore and eventually found a free app called Sticknodes. Thought I’d give it a shot and downloaded it. I used to animate quite a ton, and eventually found the website. Made an account, and got in trouble for talking to strangers online so now I do it in secret (I’m so mischevious)

3. I’d say I transitioned quite a lot. Not only would I say I’m as annoying as I used to be, but the people here were a good influence and I think I gained a bit more common sense as well as made some good friends

4. Not too sure, I was making good progress at first but as I went along I realized the engine I was using was quite limited, eventually I learned I couldn’t do the things I wanted and I had a lot of trouble getting ideas and motivation so I quietly canceled it in the discord server. It might make a return when I bring myself to learn godot (if it happens, i have a huge motivation problem [laziness]).

5. I thought it’d be pretty cool and since I use the site often I thought I’d do my part. I’m glad I did since it’s been a blast so far! Been great working along side you and other contributors, and logging the site so I can look back on previous moments.

6. It hasn’t impacted it much, I do have to check the site more often to remind people about their day so they don’t forget and I have to take some time when I go to bed to do my entry but that time I would’ve been doing not too important stuff anyway. It has impacted me in other ways as it’s taught me a thing or two about commitment.

7. I might, I occasionally animate (there was a period of time where I made quite a few micro animations) but a big problem is giving up when the animation looks poorly and also just the commitment it takes to get good at animating, I definitely do want to challenge myself to animate more, the summer might be a good time for that.

9. Honestly? Not much, you’ve done a great job managing it so far. I would make the monthly log entry thing by putting them on daily so it’s easier for myself. I used to not like the emoji requirement but I made a template for myself so I don’t forget them.

10. 5 years? In that amount of time I might actually grow an inch. Jokes aside, I can definitely see myself still using Sticknodes in 5 years. I’ve made a lot of friends here and I’ll want to still stay in touch and talk. Things change though so I have no way of knowing for sure but I definitely don’t want to leave this place. Also hopefully in 5 years I would have learned a valuable skill such as programming, game development, or 3D modeling.

11. Coca Cola, I love it maybe a bit too much. I love the bottles (have a bunch of them at home, drink one on Saturday and and one on Sunday, rest of the days I just drink water since it’s not the best for you, lmao) and also coke you get at restaurants where they use the dispensers.

12. I appreciate both, Birthday money I definitely like since I can use it to buy things and also video games. There are also gifts I really love, this year for my birthday I got some cool marvel shirts (wearing one right now) and a Wii classic controller.

13. Ralph, I wanna be a deadbeat ✨. Jokes aside, I don’t know actually.

14. I would feed my VR addiction, get the best headset I can and the best PC I can get, try out some good games and mods I couldn’t normally run. I would also get a decent house when I’m older, not too big like a mansion, just decent size and quality, probably similar to the one I live in right now. I’d also probably donate money to my friends since it’s infinite and hope I don’t get in trouble with the IRS.

15. I aspire to be a programmer or game developer, I think. Or a McDonalds employee!!

ive been trying to find the right time to tell my doctor so i can take a test, but for now it’s very likely
i have a hard time focusing with music for at least 5 hours, i do forget a lot
this tends to lead to me getting yelled at often D:
i also get really uncomfortable by dirty floors even if im wearing shoes, and often i will refuse to stand up because the floor is dirty
the same feeling happens when someone is being loud or singing and my mom does this a lot but i don’t know how to tell her that it makes me physically uncomfortable
i honestly wish it was something i could control because i feel out of place and not normal
i also give half assed responses because sometimes my mind blanks and i mumble something random or try to change the topic

Howdy yall, most of you know me for those rather cool lookin fighting game animations that I usually post from time to time. I don’t really have anything too major under my belt (yet…) but I do what I do best, and thats post things on this god forsaken website (jk lol)

1.What brought you to Stick Nodes?

-It was a goodwhile back when the whole five nights at freddys craze was going on and the second or third game released (I think anyways), I was young then looking for cool things on the internet, thankfuly I found this website rather than other stuff… but after that thats when my love for animation came about.

2.What made you transition from ‘ Thinkgames ‘ to ‘ Certified Water Drinker ?’ It’s one of the stranger usernames around I would say, most people go with something perhaps meaningful or with some purpose.

-The names Thinkgames is my xbox username and has stuck with me until I found the username Certified Water Drinker, to me the name is funny thats why I chose it and it sticks out too.

3.For the longest time we’ve known you it’s always been a thing of fighting combos and more, was there ever a point which sparked this passion for fighting-game style combos and more?

-Ive had this passion for a good while, ever since I was young. It started with the game Killer Instinct for the SNES which was handed down to me and since then has sparked my love for the fighting game genre and has grown a lot in recent times.

4.If you have one, what is your favourite video-game?

-Halo 2.

5.Your character has undergone various changes from a slimmer design to something now more stocky, is there any unnamed lore details perhaps we don’t know?

-I guess the rapid changes is from the change in my styles and seeing what sticks rather than anything lore related, but the reason why hes built like a slab of meat is because he is a retired wrester, thats about it for now.

6.Does your interest towards fighting game combos and perhaps fighting in general transfer over to a real-world passion? Do you dabble with any training or martial arts at all?

-Na, lol.

7.What are your goals and dreams for your ‘ Unnamed SN Fighting Game ?’

-Just for it to be finished, and maybe one person playing it.

8.Is it exclusively your joy for fighting games that fuels you work or maybe something else that drives you?

-Other than my love for fighting games it the passion for animation and the will to get better than the day I was before

9.Best soda flavour or brand?

-Rootbeer, by a long shot.

10.Best Street Fighter game?

-Street Fighter The Movie The Game, I’m joking, for me personaly it’s Street Fighter 3 2nd Impact, the music is what really sells it to me.

11. What inspired the design for James?

-His design was based on what I used to wear, blue pullover, khaki pants, and some grey converse then I started to flesh it out overtime. The name is from a Native American comedy duo James and Ernie, I even saw them once. The physique is from grapplers in fighing games.

-Smoke Signals, and maybe Reservation Dogs if I ever watch it again.

-Mercy, their animations are one of a kind.

15.You’ve done some streaming before over on Twitch, would you ever do a playthrough or something along those lines?

-I really don’t like the sound of my own voice, but I might do something if I ever get bored.
