It’s been a while since the latest update. To be honest, I’ve been working on other projects, but I am still very involved in the community and am watching all of your replies, comments, and questions. The updates to the app may not be as frequent as they were in the past now that undo/redo is complete and the majority of bugs are squashed, but I’m still noting down future tweaks and fixes that will come in the next release (some time this month, March).
Anyway, have you been checking out the stickfigure library? There are always new stickfigures being added by your fellow creative Stick Nodes users. Keep checking it every day and feel free to also submit your own creations!

Anyway, I also want to let you guys know about the launch of a new site, AnimationAlpha.com. It’s managed by my good pal Sean, you might remember him from the comments of this site, he often answers your questions before I can even see them! He’s also the mastermind behind the whole stickfigure library and submission process.
Currently still in its infancy, Sean updates the site daily with posts about some of the best animations out there created by individuals like you. It’s not focused entirely on stickfigure-based animations, you’ll get a mix of all different types of animation styles. It’s a great place to get inspiration for your animation projects and see some awesomely-talented animators do what they do best.
Speaking of your animation projects, AnimationAlpha is also a great place to upload your Stick Nodes creations! Just head over to the submission page and upload your animated gifs. You’ll be featured on the animations page where others can like and comment on your animations.

I think it’s the collage of all of the stickfigures. It really makes the post pop and look nice.

Lol. I’m finally taking this potential platformer game a little more seriously. Writing down the characters, plot, backstory, etc… Also testing out new software like Spine and SpriteIlluminator to see how they work when combined.

Sounds good, I imagine the plot has something to do with shooting various things with what looks to be a ray-gun? Cool, cool.

You did that artwork yourself? That’s impressive.
Nah I wish. It’s one of the example animations that comes with spine. So that means no ray guns in the game, lol.
And yeah. Spine makes it really easy to create some awesome animations without taking up tons of space (basically just “skeleton” data you apply a skin to). Couple that with the lighting effects that are easily applied by SpriteIlluminator and you got some nice-looking graphics.
I haven’t purchased either yet, just trying out the trial/beta for now.

Lol, nah I’m sure you’ll do great with whatever it is, I’ve seen your game art work before and it’s far better than mine.
And I like the look of that spine program, it looks like a proper working version of the bone tool in Flash or Stick Nodes for game development, I may have to try it with my stuff, can’t get flash’s bone tool to work for me anyway..
Yeah, exactly like the bone tool. And I know what you mean about Flash’s bone tool too, it was always a little, how should I put it, not good.
Yeah, I’d express it as a little worse than that, I have not once had a successful movement with that feature.
