Alright, actual question here. Do y’all have any tips on how to create a decent stickfigure? I don’t want to make a figure thats too complicated, but a figure that has a nice looking style and isnt just a stick figure but colored. Any tips would be gladly appreciated, thank you! 🙂

    • Really, just start anything. References are a big help, so have those on hand. A style is something you develop, so you won’t have the full picture of what yours is from the beginning. But, I’d say you should take inspiration from the things you enjoy. That’s a big part of how I developed my style

      Good luck, soldier

    • I recommend remaking something that already exists and was made multiple times, so you could pick and choose what you like about them and see certain tips and tricks on how to create Stickfigures. Then when you go to make another Stickfigure, see what you liked about the last Stickfigure you made and keep it, and try something new with the stuff you didn’t like. That’s what i’m doing, at least

    • Already top quality advice, keeping a generalised approach to it is important as it can’t be done overnight and requires refinement overtime rather than bombarding it all at once in hopes you’ll be good.

I’d say as well consider what usage your work will have, some styles are harder to animate with but remember there are always alternatives to change things up and make animating easier.

Consider function, take inspiration for the styles and start with something.
