Has a REALLY simple idea for a game

    Tries coding

Has no idea how to make a thing do a thing.

Still is clueless even when trying to logically think

    Ends up sidetracking

Passive agressively gets a grudge at my brain and closes the app in rage quit.

I’ve been trying to have a 2D minigolf mechanic controls on a ball… Like I have no idea how to make mouse make an arrow from a ball that launches the ball. God damnit.

          you’d be surprised

notice his lack of posting here?

it correlates to his making no progress with his game due to dumb-dumb-ness

I just want to make a game about a golf where golfballs use guns on other players :c

you could go the full-on physics route of Unity

but to be honest 2d circle “physics” is pretty simple to replicate

I used a preset of Unreal Engine. It had stuff in it already.

I still couldn’t modify controls so it’s like “when u hover ur mouse over it and drag it shoots X units”.

                  So rip me.

I also wanted to add element to follow mouse so I’d see where mouse is, shows on editor but not in game. So it’s like ultimate brainfuck for me.

Only if we could make games with just the thought of finished process 😞

What’s more shameful I had programming in my school. Like it’s part of technical knowledge. It’s javascript for site tho… Yet still didn’t know how to lmao.

Even if I think logically and can calculate every possibility and stuff, programming language leaves me clueless.

I know its easy for me to say but it’s not *that* hard

especially with the copious amount of tutorials etc on Youtube nowadays

a great starting point is to just follow along with a tutorial making a simple “pong” game or something

you can do Unity, that’s what Sean is doing even though I told him to use LibGDX/Java but he found it too hard

I know it’s easy, my friend literally just said

Tho I still find it somehow challengeling. It’s inner issue of me knowing what it’s supposed to do, but I don’t know how. Or I mean, what do I need to use to get to that goal.
