It ain’t. It really ain’t. It’s not a choice. And I am fucking tired of people thinking it is.

Why would I choose to be apart of the group that gets discriminated against every five seconds. Why would I choose to have an identity that would most likely make my parents kick me out if they ever found out. Why would I choose to have an identity that would make me get bullied more than I’ve ever been if anyone at school found out.

Why would I choose this? Genuinely tell me. Why would I choose this. Infact, I fucking wish it was a choice so that I could just be normal for once. I wish I was cis. I wish I didn’t have thoughts of stabbing my heart with a knife every single goddamn time I enter that fucking kitchen. I wish I had parents that didn’t make me feel worthless.

So no. It’s not a choice. And racism is extremely similar to homophobia. The latter may be easier to escape from since you could just be closeted, but it’s still the same. So please, just shut up.
