Why the fuck do I care about US politics
I’m not sure if y’all knew this but I live in Sweden. I’m not even in the same continent that America’s in. I cannot vote there. I can’t even vote here. I’m 13.
So why do I know more about US politics than I do Swedish politics.
I’m pretty sure it’s because of the whole US defaultism thing with the internet plus I actually get most of my American political info from here (cough rene cough)
Hell her posts are how I found out that Charlie Kirk died and that Muslim socialist guy got elected for mayor in NYC. Those posts are how I found out that those people exist (well actually existed in Charlie’s case)

Pretty sure its mainly because the world relies on US politics, sorry for nerdy answer just scrolling the forum here bored
After most of the world-wars, Europe lost a heavy amount of its power. From going from owning a 1/3 even 1/2 of the world, to begging the US for defense and yada yada. Therefore; the world pretty much relies on US politics and its outcomes.
