It’s definitely some progression and the fact you keep working on him is great.
However, using various bases for your characters to look better will only take you so far, keep working on him, look to add new things, take old things away and generally just keep practicing as you are and within no time your skill will increase and leave you with a solid refined OC.

I made a remastered version of Zack with jackflys base

The face doesn’t really seem to match up with the angle of the head, it sorta likes you like just took a round head and slapped it on his base, colors of the heads don’t seem to match up, for example
Might be wrong though and probably am, never seen his base and I don’t know much about figures
