The reasoning for smears is to indicate they are moving very fast.

A bit too much smears, try only on important parts. (Head, wrist, ankle, tail/hair/body)

That’s too many tho
You should do a few big ones that move from the center areas of the figure to the left then

I see what you’re going for but it doesn’t look right.
Try using the blue tool then add slightly more opaque smears, it might get laggy so just find something that works.
Creating fine close-together triangles simulates a gradient with no fill, Arcionek took usage of this in one of his stickfigures, you can apply the same to a custom smear.

while i appreciate the dedication to using smears, it also depends *when* to actually use them.
I see people use them for run cycles, most of the time… Just don’t.
Smears aren’t used as an indicator of objects moving fast. They are used to make us be able to see an object quickly move from one place to another. It is not speed indicator, it’s an easy way to prevent object from teleporting from point A to point B.
Here’s an example of with and without smear frames:

In conclusion, use smears when it’s necessary to convey the movement and arcs. Researching on principles of animation and other tricks is quite useful.

My FPS can legally drink in The United States and yours can’t, therefore mine is superior.
Damn it
