That animation was pretty creative, and Ralph found it enjoyable because of that, and from someone who’s cemented themselves into this community by being an active member for years and producing great Stickfigures for the site, so that may or may not have had a say in it. Also, if you looked closely, store and humor were also taken into account.

Besides, many people can easily reproduce this level of animation, so don’t go putting other’s animations down to make a point. Not saying it’s not going to get in, but saying your animation was “far better” was kinda uncalled for, especially since they are kinda similar in animation quality.

Replies like these is why I refrain from saying an animation “isn’t good enough” or “is bad” cause they’re extremely objective takes. I don’t think Ralph chooses spotlight cause he thinks one is better that the other rather I think he chooses them cause they’re interesting or well made or has signs of effort or anticipation put into it. No animation is ‘bad’ but just needs some work or intentional effort put into it.

Also look for less validation from other people and animate cause you want to.
